Each industry has its own economics — revenue per customer, margins, customer acquisition cost, how much operations it needs and whether it is regulated. A SaaS company scales differently from a factory or a D2C brand, and the game reflects that.

Departments matter. Money only works if you have people to deploy it. No marketers? Your ad budget sits idle. Too few in operations? Customers churn.
Capital choices matter. Equity dilutes you; debt costs interest; grants are free but small. Your ownership is tracked in a live cap table.
